Anyone else planning to quit after their bonus payout? Or are you planning on staying?
What’s your opinion on turning in your two weeks after the bonus payout? Do you think the likelihood you will be walked out day 1 is high?

Line up the job and give them an alternative. Let them know you’re not sure if you’ll be walked out or not. Most places would be flexible if you’re upfront. But don’t burn a bridge, this is a small world and you never know who you will come across from your past.
As for benefits. GM insurance s---s. It pays for nothing. Decent companies out there have better health insurance though the 401k is definitely not going to be as good. Most best in a year or immediately though so that’s a plus for those looking to jump around.

Give the 2 weeks, but get into the other job imminently since you'll be walked out anyway.
I didn't wanna make a big deal out of it, but payroll paid me for one week only when I left. they did the math for me over the phone and it was all BS.
do not walk out / give notice prior to bonus. very likely you will get screwed
That’s what I thought. Bonus payouts are usually end of Feb. The comment below talking about April probably doesn’t even work at GM.

If I knew I could replace my wage somewhere else, I might think about it, but then I add in the vacation days I’ve accumulated, plus health insurance.... As one with a family, I need to assess all of this. In the end, I see no reason to jump off a train just because others aren’t on it anymore. Its still a great job. I enjoy my work and have great coworkers. They may choose to kick me off one day, but I’ll ride it until then.
dont know about the 2 weeks, but while you are waiting until April to get your bonus start applying elsewhere and leave at a convenient time before they throw you out one day with no reason
If you give 2 weeks notice and they walk you out you get paid for those 2 weeks.
Never burn a bridge. Give notice- else you’re gonna get blacklisted in the manager/director’s network
My experience is folks in sensitive areas are walked out after giving their notice.

I wouldn't bother with 2 weeks notice.
Just tell your boss that today is your last day, and start your new job tomorrow.
If you give notice, they'll walk you out and you'll lose 2 weeks pay.
