Executives layoffs at the Ren Cen happened on Friday, 2/1. They cut at least 12 in legal. None of the senior executives, though.

8th levels are not "executive level".

There are at least 6 first level managers (8th levels) - who either took the buyout or were let go from Pontiac Engineering Center. Their teams were either blended into other teams or have a TBD for a manager right now.

Executives happened last year. They were the first to go. The salaried cuts took longer due to the waiting period and reporting requirements of the WARN act.

There have been departments without their director or executive director since early December. Many that seemed to be taking the buyout were in reality forced out because they were encouraged to take it. In other words they were told you can stay but come next year it’s likely your job will be eliminated. I know of at least 6 executive directors that were eliminated and at least that many directors. Several chiefs took the package but I think it was same deal, encouraged because eventually jobs would of been eliminated in feb.

Yes. Several did the VSP and some got walked out in the past month. It’s not allowed here to name individuals but it indeed happened. Didn’t hear about any executive level people though. Very few first level managers as well.
