There are people saying that behind closed doors, Charlie is the one advocating for peer performance style reviews despite what he says in the annual report. This is the same method his mentor Jamie Dimon uses at J.P. Morgan known as Insight 360 which is totally ineffective other than to create an atmosphere of attacking and backstabbing colleagues. People purposely withhold knowledge sharing that ultimately negatively impacts clients in an effort to have a leg up on their competitors. Just read investor reviews on how unhappy they are with the customer experience since peer reviews were put in place at J.P. Morgan. Enhancing customer service is not the point behind these performance style reviews for these guys. The point is being able to reduce the bonus pool and staff. Coming soon to BNYM.

The 2018 annual report can be googled. In Charlie's own words, within the report, he echoes that this is the direction he is taking our company.
