In fairness to younger employees ( I am one ), is that AIG is not really moving with the times. I would love to learn, but it seems my manager would rather the most technically capable employees sit around and do nothing while he caters to the AIG lifers. It's as if he doesn't want to acknowledge that he may actually have to step his game up and match the knowledge of his slightly younger counterparts. So what does he do? Hides in his cubicle, eats food - thus getting lazy and tired, and walks around b---s---ting with select employees instead of developing and engaging the employees who he deemes as a flight risk, when the reality is that his attitude is the exact reason FOR the flight risks. I'm sure my story is similar to many others' because, let's face it, AIG promotes unintelligent employees into middle managers who enjoy stonewalling potential talent so that their own deminishing skillset isn't blaringly obvious. Whatever, don't expect a 2 weeks notice from me. Don't even expect a 2 minutes notice as "leadership" isn't even willing to spare 2 hours of training a week.
