Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Paystub questions

  1. Is "Equivl19" the prorated 2019 TeamGM payment?

  2. WARN Pay. I was not expecting this! Is this a one time payment? How was it determined?

I hope the job search is going well for everyone!

Why are weekends counted as part of the 60 days? I would think it would only be considering Mon-Fri seeming that they aren't paying premium for weekends.

I have everything you have beyond warn pay, but no warn pay instead of it says servance pay, so I am not sure what that is?

I always thought we are going to get paid regularly twice a month after Feb. so does this mean That’s all the servance pay I will get?

It wasn’t 6 weeks of warn act pay it was 60 days... if u got laid off feb 4 it was all of February then from March 1-April 9. For feb they paid it out in regular paychecks so they could pay bonus in feb 28 check. After feb 28 you are no longer a Gm employee so they paid it out in lump sum for the remainder of the time along w your first severance.

Why only 6 weeks of pay for WARN?

why not 8 weeks or 10 or 12 worth of pay? Just curious how this was determined.

It’s a 60 day notification that is required. Since it was not completed in time as required for Warren, given the number of people laid off, we are to get 6 weeks of pay and benefits. Since mine is around 50% higher than I expected based on salary, I am assuming it also included bonus, retirement contributions and other benefits. It was a nice surprise! Between this and the full 6 weeks severance I will get this was a good thing for me and happy to be gone and start a new job next month! I am sure I will be a lot happier.

WARN is for WTC and there are posts on here about it. If they lay off enough people in one location WTC there is a regulation they need to pay you for 60 days if they don't give you 60 days notice so WARN is a lump sum payment through April 9.

The equiv119 I did the math and it corresponds to your max bonus amount prorated to 2 months of 2019.

Don’t know about the WARN since MPG doesn’t seem to be eligible for WARN act

I have the same questions.

I have received the mail today as well. Is this separate from our severance pay?

GM didn’t mention In the severance package about this.

And did they calculate 60 days of payment for the check?

I was hoping to see an answer to your question.

I did receive an earnings statement in the mail.

Columns show the following:

Earnings PPDate Amount Year to Date

BASE PAY blank blank

Equiv119 03/15/19 $xx,xxx

teamGM blank blank

WARN Pay 03/15/19 $xx,xxx

OVT PREM blank blank

OVT ST blank blank

Can anyone confirm if they have amounts in all columns?

Thanks.
