Effective immediately, you no longer have to yellow highlight Instant Savings, End of Season Savings, and New Lower Price discounts on signage for the sales floor. New Instant Savings price signs will look just like the One Day Event signage we have been using the past couple years.

Digital signs sync up with Smart system and changes prices instantaneously. The ink, paper and man power savings far outweigh the digit investment. Works for military exchanges and commissaries.
Back in the Day....
Slot tags were not printed out, you would use a black marker and hand right the item number for each pallet and tape it on the pallet.
CIM is still a relatively new program but for associates that have just started working at Sam’s in the last couple years, we would rack freight anywhere in the steel and had little idea what or where it was at when we needed to find a certain item. Well run clubs would keep the items in certain areas to help locate them, but I have been in clubs that had grocery pallets along the mattress wall and office supplies racked on the opposite side of the building in Grocery steel lol!
Sam's Club Now has digital signs. If the company is serious about saving money in the long term then I think we'll go to that. We waste payroll on sign changes that causes their to be shortages of staff on the floor. This is just a baby step in the right direction.
Well that's an actual great idea!
