It’s such a shame that the website prevents genuine concerns from being expressed. Perhaps some of the posts were emotional, but they are definitely raising valid issues witnessed by those leaving and those staying.
Pepsi has been taking full advantage of the lack of anti-discrimination laws in certain parts of the world to benefit - off the backs of the people they called “PepsiCo Family” members. Many would reconsider giving it the title of “Ethical company” if they saw how the layoffs are being handled. Many lessons to be learned on how NOT to handle such situations.
HR has simply had way too much power in the decision-making processes, but, thanks to the Legal team, they have learned all the loopholes to prevent anything from coming back and nipping them in the butt. And the little guys simply can’t fight it.
A lot of people here are shocked, and rightfully so, even those that are “safe”. Because now they know the expected level of treatment should they be told to go.
A truly heartbreaking time for all those who onced loved this company, and a prime example of what happens when an organization loses its way and forgets its purpose.
