They’ve been cutting every 2-4 weeks at Hinkle in preparation for the closure. They’ll keep a couple guys per shift to take care of run through trains. All work will be sent elsewhere, Albina/Roseville.

Huge savings put in place to keep corporate axe from cutting it off. UP will discover why Hinkle is there, and the need to put it back online will come someday. Until then we do Blackrock's bidding.
Hinkle has no purpose anymore but a stop n go fuel spot. They don’t need or want the shop there. Already heard it will be reduced to a skeleton crew at best. Mass layoffs incoming.
