Us BB&T folks feel the same about what we perceive as a poor culture at Sun Trust. Given the 50/50 nature of the management teams, it is sure to be a real clash.

She likely realized the BB&T culture is going to win out in this merger and decided she wants nothing to do with it. BB&T is a good old boys country club leadership mentality that will have no desire for change. They can blow smoke about their diversity and inclusiveness but it is just that, smoke. If you are female or minority and want a future or a voice that will ne heard move along.
I'd rather be getting off the ship than be sinking with it!
