We do roughly 18-24 deliveries per day. I have 3 drivers. A CDL, a box van driver that is back up CDL and a Non CDL, I get told we have to open our trucks up to take 18 boxes and 7 flat beds, but we can’t have OT in delivery. How the hell do you make a schedule to include only 3 drivers, ensuring all weekends are covered, a driver until 6pm, and keep them under their DOT hours?

This has been going on ever since XPO (horrible) took over. Its not working, a huge mess, and Lowes Corporate KNOWS it but still tells customers its great! That itself tells you everything you need to know about Marvin & Co and their morals.
They all s--- sh-- and deserve to die.
Soon as you think they may let you add a driver, they will have you hire a third party company to do appliances instead. Then they will ask you to cut hours because you’re not as busy.
same going on in other stores. i assume theyll be facing hefty fines for this when it comes out that company-wide theyre running drivers like this. just staff appropriately. that simple.
