So just for the record, I’m not doubting the dsd exit! I’ve been saying it for years now, but are skeptical of people who throw dates out.
Anyone who would not think dsd is ending is simply ignoring things. Dsd is a boutique that retailers can not afford as the competition grew with online shopping, consumers changing eating habits, etc.
I also do not think Mondelez would give more than 60 days notice, they know what will happen when people are told jobs are eliminated.
I also believe they will let people go in waves. We will see territory realignments prior to a total exit.
I hope I get cut early, I do not want to be any part of this organization as they dismantle things. They s--- at their best, can’t imagine what they will be like at their worst!

By 2 different Kroger associate's. They are in upper management for Kroger. Everything is in place. Your company isn't being truthful with you. I'm not sure how DSD will still be a thing when Kroger pulls the plug. I am associated with the Kroger company. DSD will eventually be eliminated with Kroger. Only vendor's we are keeping are scanned based vendor's. That's mostly your bread vendor's and Krispy Kreme. Short dated product will still be delivered through DSD. Impossible to warehouse those item's. Nabisco fits our warehouse schematic perfectly. Look at the new resets. Bad for DSD. Perfect for warehouse. 1 facing pretty much. We get in trucks almost every day. DSD only delivers 1 to 3 times a week. You will have lots of out of stocks if we stayed DSD. We built a new warehouse in Hebron KY for DSD. We're up and running and ready to house Nabisco, Frito, Pepsi, Coca Cola, 7up, Red Bull, Pepperidge farm and Snyder's.
I've heard Walmart is ready to pull the plug on DSD also. Look at what they just did to PepsiCo! Good luck. Kroger is hiring if you're looking.

2020 sounds like the most reasonable time table. Not today. That would k--l numbers going into the end of the year, which they don't want. I'd bet they do what Keebler did and announce it early in the year.
The only ones who know an exact date are top tier management of retail partners and Mondelez. Any others who claim to be reliable are lying. Very simple to figure that out.
If you are truly nervous about receiving this news, prepare yourself now! Of course dsd is ending. For two years now every flag has been dangling in front of you telling you so! Of an announcement is what you need to believe this reality, so be it! For the rest, pay close attention! This whole WM and Pepsi issue should tell you who is boss! It’s not us! WM can do business without us but we her can’t do business without them! That won’t happen, but you better believe WM and other vendors call the shots, and they simply do not choose to pay for our services anymore!

I hope whoever put the post up that there is a mandatory conference call on Thursday is telling the truth. These mandatory calls are usually announced at the last minute so people do not have much time to get emotional over the situation. This person has to be a manager if they know this information. If it is not true then this person is a PIECE OF SH— for making people worry. If this is not true this site is not a good place to get information from. It makes it bad for all of the people posting information that is true.

@ YFAd4V4-3bgi......let’s see some evidence of this conference call tomorrow at 4pm. We would of been notified by now of a call tomorrow. I agree things are changing and something is coming eventually but I think we are a few years out still. Krogers we are on CAO order system in our tablets but when Kroger scans our items it does not say CAO. Most on here think by 2020 we will be gone but I just don’t see it happening in the next 8 months....probably by 2022 or even later.
Amazing to read posts on here that claim because we are still employed that nothing is changing. Sad to think that some people are that dumb! With as many changes and red flags that point to dsd ending.....some people really don’t like facing reality!

In the past two years......looked what has occurred. Two largest retailers are CAO! A lot has evolved, hard to ignore. If you think for a second we are actually creating a new dsd model, think again!
