I’m a former Ford worker that got laid off three months ago and I still wasn't able to find a job in the automotive industry that fits my skills. Sure, there are job postings, eben been a few interviews, but nothing yet. To all of those who say the job market is solid I would like to say that they are sadly mistaken. Fore the folks that get cut my advice would be not to waste time and immediately start looking for jobs in other industries.

Get out of automotive if possible
Look at the bright side, a new industry will hopefully bring more stability for you. Also, if you move out of Michigan your car insurance pmt won't be like having a second mortgage.
That's the plan
