It's all about greed

The whole reason they are eliminating night crew is because they're greedy. The huge PERMANENT tax cut they just received last year wasn't enough for them. By cutting 3rd shift they won't have to pay shift premium across the board. But don't think for one minute the associates will see better wages or benefits. They never do.

Exactly what @YGmsMFW-1ykp said. There is no need for this. Even if there was a need for something like this before, it was wiped out with tax breaks. And yet here we are. Pure greed. And complete disregard of employees.

Current nigtcrew keeps differential. Future hires will not get it because they are not working overnight they will be job coded different.

In the club I work the new hires on days are being left in the dark about the block schedule so when the time comes we will lose even more people.

@wcm there isn’t any truth as they keep the differential. All you people do is complain. There’s a lot wrong all over and there’s things to complain about, however not differentials! We can all accept the change and move on or always complain. Crazy how ppl always chooses the complaining. If you don’t like it leave. Hell, it probably doesn’t even affect you.

@ald not sure why you want to rant. The truth is the truth. They will eventually screw night crew out of their differential one way or another. Has nothing to do with misery. Its just the way it is. That's how Sam's works. We all know it. Even you.

@fuh I did my homework as I’m in a club that has transitioned. There’s policy changes daily and there’s cuts daily - what’s your point? If you want to paint with a broad brush to continue to be miserable, then your doing a great job! We’ve CHOSEN to continue to work for a company that is changing daily! If someone doesn’t like it then seek other employment. Company needs volunteers not hostages...

@nfe you need to do your homework. Yes they let them keep the differential, but they will cut back in other ways. Not as many hours, changing policies or some new rule. You know that's how they work. Just make it look good for those who aren't paying attention while the screw you over behind the scenes.
