My brother is a part timer at Lowe’s but he’s been working at the company for a couple of years. Do the part timers get severance if they get laid off, and what is the difference between the standard severance package and the one that they have the right to get, of course if they are entitled to one in the first place?

Lowe's only gives severance packages to Salaried Employees.
what company would pay part timers a severance? not really a lowes thing here. severances in general have always been paid to higher paid positions in any company as not only a perk to holding that title but also a sort of insurance policy for being displaced as its far more devastating to be laid off when youre a full time, often salaried, worker than it will ever be for a part timer. (thats not to say both groups dont need the money)
Uuuum, NO.
pt'ers get squat
No. Lowes considers it one of the advantages of part time staffing. Greedy mothers.
I am sorry to say that in my 16+ years with Lowe's, have not heard of anything given to laid off part time employees, no matter how long they have been with the company. No joy there.
