They’ll wait until the worst time of year, so the kick to the jimmies is a little more painful. Like the ones let go just before the holidays.

Hopefully those getting laid off in small layoffs will report in here so the true picture of what UP is doing can be seen.

Inside info says there will not be another mass layoff......they are still doing layoffs weekly it is just in small numbers so not to attract the bad publicity from the last few.

Judging by the number of UP employees who are looking for other jobs the railroad may not even have a workforce to layoff in the next round. I know because I'm getting the resumes sent to me. I got got five last week alone. I gather the IT and mechanical employees aren't very happy with their jobs.

UP was toxic when I left. I can't imagine what it must be like now.

They’ll allow a little time to pass to allow the charities they support in Omaha and around the country to forget how greedy they are so they won’t feel completely stupid when they pose for cheesy pictures with those big dumb fake checks handed to them by smiling a--holes from UP’s Total Safety Culture team and other people from HR that don’t do squat. Then they’ll come out with a new courage to care video with Lance crying crocodile tears which he’ll win an Oscar for because he’ll be thinking how much smaller his bonus will be if somebody gets hurt so the pain on his face will be real. And probably a week or two after that they’ll do another mass lay-off.
