30 guys called to a meeting and sent home at the beginning of their shift. It’s real, it hurts real people

How do Lance and his little circle of execs look at themselves in the mirror each day? I’d feel better about myself walking out of a strip club at 3am than walking out of my 19th floor office at the end of the day.
Wow. It appears another gentleman was correct on here when he said UP has learned their lesson about mass layoffs and public perception at least for right now and is laying off in small numbers on a regular basis. What a worthless company. Glad somebody posted a link to shut up the tards posting that it didn't happen. Losers from corporate headquarters probably trying to do damage control.
Everyone that is laid off needs to spread the word on what an unethical company UP is. Make sure that in the future only the bottom feeders of the applicant pool apply for a job at this north korean nuclear waste dump.
"Union Pacific would not confirm the number of local people laid off, but the Herald-Press was told 30 car shop employees were furloughed and two foreman were forced to give back to their tools. That leaves 56 car men, four foreman, two foreman generals, and two managers on staff."

I can hear main line RR train cars with bad bearings going by on every freight train derailment coming back with no mechanical experience personal working, account lay-offs. ROF RULES.
Why you people think it is a lie is beyond me? 30 guys in the car shop have no jobs but still have families to feed and bills to pay. What isn't shown is the lack of compassion from a greedy company who would rather line the pockets of their senior (terrible) management than to keep hardworking men employed and doing their jobs daily. The management in Palestine is terrible and it's all trickling down from the top. Cant wait til the FRA and OSHA get word of how "safe" it is to work on cars with only half of their staff.
Makes sense Palestine is an unstable area right now so we want to pull our people out of there. Can you imagine trying to do an air test on the Gaza Strip?
Seriously, what is the point? No one got furloughed at 6am. A letter or a meeting what was it? Makes no sense to even brodcast such a lie
We knew this was coming. It will happen at all mechanical facilities. Less cars = less repairs is what they see. We know how well it’s work on the locomotive sidek

Mechanical and welding skills
