Anyone know if UP is going to let people cash out their Harriman package? Last year they did this with several people who no longer working for UP. Since new employees are no longer eligible for this benefit, I wonder how long it can be sustained.

How do you access what you have? If, you die does the spouse automatically receive the pension?
Employees don't contribute to pension...only company. So unlike SS we don't need younger ones in the pension plan to keep it solvent. We do need UP to stay afloat tho.
