Is there a page for the remaining campuses? These comments are all about Dream Center and it is officially done- just read the judge's comments to the receiver last week. There are still thousands of students, faculty and staff at the remaining AI campuses where I work. I would like to read about what is happening with Studio and EPF, not DCEH complaints. We have not been connected to DCEH since last fall. HR has changed, benefits, payroll, purchasing, etc. They have been restoring cut staff slowly on our campus the past few months, New careers services people, admissions, HR, facilities and some new professors. Just curious what the plan is as we move forward.

Well if AiLV is owned by those three instructors, then I know who to sue for my paycheck. A class action law suit is mounting against you WT and the husband be read for it
Once word spread, one Ai has less than 150 students as of this past quarter. Probably closer to 100. They laid off all full time faculty except for one in culinary and one in one of the art programs. The money instead went to full time jobs in administration to make the school look like it’s still operating normally.
3pdj-I know for a fact most full time faculty at the Texas AI locations were laid off last Fall, so that “solves” that problem
No it doesn’t.
4500 students is not a lot
Very true, especially between 8 campuses.
4500/8=562.5 students per school.
With a 50:1 student/faculty ratio, that’s only 11.25 full-time faculty.
Add in rent and utilities, then necessary admissions, administrators, registrars, IT, custodians, security, etc., not a lot of wiggle room to make a profit for executive board.
4500 students is not alot
Thanks for the update, @YP8ZxLE-1zeh
Exactly what I was hoping for!
Ai 8 has about 4500 students total right now.
It’s May 1st. Any details about EPF and those AI locations more recent than over 3 months ago?
Education Principle Foundation, a Delaware nonprofit acquired some of the campuses. The foundation now controls Art Institutes in Atlanta; Austin, Tex.; Dallas; Miami; Houston; San Antonio; Tampa, Fla.; and Virginia Beach. It also acquired South University campuses in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. More details form back in Jan 2019.
AILV info: https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/education/art-institute-of-las-vegas-begins-new-semester-after-dodging-closure-1629219/
AILV is not part of the EPF / Studio deal. It is owned by professors William Turbay, Tim Kelly and Lisa Mayo, aided by local businessman and educator Richard Rock, sprang into action to save the college and protect the education and financial investment of the nearly 500 students enrolled."
move on who cares, so few employees left and students. everyone scattered long time ago
There are no 500 students at any campus
ioe-if things are going so well at your campus why can’t you just ask the “ Strong supportive President” or others in administration there for info to help your “students and campus”. Or do you trust people who “ are not working” and “blowing hot air” to give you better info? And isn’t Las Vegas where they haven’t been paid in over a month?
Notice that the gentleman from Ai Shillville has yet to reveal where he works. Not surprising as the practiced deceiver will always, when pressed, feign righteous indignation when asked to answer a simple clarifying question. It's right out of the scam playbook. Deny and deflect.
The BS-0-METER just hit 10 again.
@YP8ZxLE-iih thanks, heading over there. This site has no real info. Just trolls.
@YP8ZxLE-hzk Shiilville poster - you have no idea what you are blasting about. There are 8 remaining campuses open and If each campus has at least 500 students enrolled - we have nearly 1000 on our campus - then YES there are thousands of students still attending the remaining AIs. Go blow hot air up some other site and leave the comments to people who are still working. I am looking for info on here to help support my students and campus. AI campuses still enrolling students not part of DCEH. Miami Tampa Atlanta Las Vegas Austin Dallas Houston San Antonio Virginia Beach
weren't there six or so schools that sold in a separate deal that seemed to be doing okay? I forgot which Ai's they were.
Poster you will not get an answer to where Ai Shillville campus is. But you have to hand it to the SOB he's down to roughly 1,000 students from "thousands." So he effectively went from a 10 on the BS-O-Meter to now around a 9.9
yjk : what campus are you?
I survived my original campus closing by DCEH and recently got hired at an open campus. Been really quiet since arriving, classes running normally and student numbers are close to 1000. Campus has a strong supportive President who has been really proactive with the staff and students. AI still the best option for art disciplines in our area compared to the local community college offerings. Several of my friends from the closed campus got hired at local schools as adjuncts - pay s---s, lots of extra duties unpaid, no health benefits and no real opportunities for full time. The art disciplines are typically Associates here and adjunct classes get cut all the time. I figured sticking with AI for a few another year was smartest decision. Watching the old campus being stripped of resources while seeing students and staff struggle was terrible. Hopefully things will turn around or I will exit. Can't go through that drama again.
AiPOD is the ONLY campus that ever had “thousands of students, faculty and staff...”
And they’re closed.
qte-Pass the kool-aid to your neighbor and keep praying...
"There are still thousands of students, faculty and staff at the remaining AI campuses where I work."
Thousands? Where do you work? Most likely the Ai at Shillville.
- They need to get some professional BS artists. They're all over the place and work cheap.
This site is about layoffs. If Studio and EPF are not laying off, there is no need for a lay-off page.
