Signs of D--g Use:

Mood Swings. D--gs physically change the brain and therefore cause emotional and mental side effects. Of course, mood swings affect everyone from time to time, so frequency and intensity of the emotional shifts are important to consider. Mood swings are another potential indication of a co-occurring mood disorder that should be addressed along with the substance use as applicable.

Mental Confusion. D--gs have an effect on the higher-processing functions of the brain so users often act with characteristic bewilderment. The confusion may present as jumbled speech, repetitive question asking, an inability to understand even simple tasks, etc. Neurological disorders or pathologies extending to the brain can also have this effect, so be sure to rule out any outstanding physical health issues before deciding that d--gs are definitely the cause.

Excessive Aggression, Agitation, and/or Violence. D--gs are disinhibiting, so the user is more likely to participate in violent, aggressive, or even criminal activities. This is especially true with alcohol, though stimulants have also been linked to an increase in violence. Stimulants cause hyper-emotionality, hyper-alertness, paranoia, etc., which in turn make the user more likely to act on impulse. Aggression can also be learned from environments of d--g distribution, in which tensions are high and disputes are common.

Impaired Thinking. Faulty reasoning, rash decision making, delayed reaction times, inability to form a coherent sentence…these are all warning signs for impaired thinking that could potentially be caused by d--g use. Regularly impaired thinking could be a result of neurological damage that needs immediate medical attention; intermittently impaired thinking, though, is most likely a sign of substance use.

oh spare me - ya’know i was discussing this very thing with my coworkers yesterday in the designated smoking area - and yes it would be inconsiderate to discriminate based on mental health - everything else though is open season and hard to prove. now pass it to the left man and quit stalling.

Millions of people struggle with substance use disorder. Substance use is rarely an “at home” problem and can affect every aspect of a person’s life, including school, community, and work. An employee that has a substance use disorder, can unwittingly cause problems at work that are related to their substance use.

Lost productivity, absenteeism, injuries, fatalities, theft, and low employee morale are some of the most common issues related to substance use. Some other consequences are increased health care costs, human resources issues, legal liabilities, and workers’ compensation costs.

It’s clear that addressing substance use in the workplace is critical to running a successful business. However, how do employers do this without discriminating against employees with a mental health disorder? Substance use disorder is a health issue, not a personal choice. Employers who deal with addiction in the workplace benefit from taking a firm stance on substance use and have a plan for dealing with employees who are legitimately struggling.

We are all adults here and if you want to dabble in the party favors and can still maintain your job, family, and responsibilities - what’s the problem? Just because our govt can’t tax it is what makes it illegal.

And anybody clean or dirty can pass this day of age. And 10% of workforce gets randoms monthly on a raffle system unless your injured, damage property, or suspect.

D--g tests are done on all employees, office and field. It just depends if you are randomly chosen or not.

D--g tests are random for office workers at northbelt. I had 2 in 5 years. Others had none.
