I’m hearing that a number of ex Noble employees in Denver have received a letter from Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The letter states that Noble is being investigated by the EEOC for age discrimination. Anyone else heard of this?

I hope I get the letter! I will fill them in on on the children, that can't even look at your in the face in he hallways, that are running a major company. Ridiculous! They are there for the money and the lifestyle it provides....not because it's a passion.
I was an over 50 employee at Noble and was laid off recently. I felt I had a target on my back. It made for a very uncomfortable work environment. When HR is not on your side, you have no one to count on in a company.
I received the letter and responded by email. Have not heard from them yet! I wasn't surprised to find out they're under investigation. It seemed pretty obvious to me that they targeted the over 50 employees.
Got letter and replied to it, have not heard a thing about it. It's true, that age discrimination happen but unless a group of people get together, it will not be looked into. It doesn't matter if it was in Houston, Greeley, Ardmore or the Denver office. EEOC needs to REALLY investigate NOBLE!!!
Got a letter. It will all come out in time.
Anyone think this will go anywhere?
Someone I know has been interviewed already.
I work out of Houston. My manager contacted me about being laid off. He was upset about their decission to lay me off and told me it was due to my age. The company wanted to get younger. Nothing in writting. So what is one to do but move on. Then a couple of weeks ago I received a letter from Denver EEOC stating that they would like to speak with me by phone or email. I called and got a message that it would be 1 to 2 weeks for a reply back. Doesn't sound like much of an investigation.
Anyone get an “interview “ yet? By the EEOC?
This is no different than lawsuits that are filed immediately after an acquisition. Love the ignorant comments. Keep spreading your BS.
Don’t even dream this will lead to anything. Yeah it’s true, Noble management practiced age discrimination when selecting lay-off targets. But that won’t matter. The EEOC no longer has teeth, the current administration yanked them all.
@7ltb - the letter (yes I have one) states that this is only an investigation and to call or email someone on the letter with EEOC and they will get back with you within 1-2 weeks. I called last week - haven't heard back yet. Nothing else beyond that.
So I’m curious about this letter mentioned by 7mgw and talking about persistent, gross and systematic age discrimination. Has anyone else seen this letter? Where can it be found?
Machiavellian management
letter issued by Denver EEOC Office. Noble committed persistent gross and systematic age discrimination. Noble's law firm told them to be careful. DS and KF were "willing to accept that risk." LR and GW were like "whatever the big boss say." Bet they're all glad for a lame a-- board.
Noble is the most inept and incompetent company I’ve ever been a part of. They can’t even lay-off old people correctly.
Strange execs fired mostly older employees and kept and promoted some real boneheads they should have known were boneheads. And then they hired some more obvious boneheads. Exploration, Finance, and HR all need a house cleaning.
Pennsylvania too.
We ALL know they did it... they know they did... how to prove it? I’m sure they will deny it being the weasels they are. Honestly they did us favor as most all of us are in much better places than working at Noble.
People in Houston too. It has been talked about for the last three years. Hopefully, people will tell the truth. It has been out of control and obvious. Enough is enough
People in Ardmore got the letter too!
