Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Baker Stock doing another belly flop caused from the operating income decline of 45 percent

thought I was finally going to unload this pig and get my 35.00 share price but hell no we are probably going to be seeing the teens again and much deeper layoffs in the middle management area that is so heavy.

Anyone can copy definitions and paste them on here. What is obvious is this has been the worst management in the industry for the last 15 yrs. What a shambles with bad planning and poor decisions.

What Is Operating Income?

Operating income is an accounting figure that measures the amount of profit realized from a business's operations, after deducting operating expenses such as wages, depreciation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Operating income takes a company's gross income, which is equivalent to total revenue minus COGS, and subtracts all operating expenses. A business's operating expenses are costs incurred from normal operating activities and include items such as office supplies and utilities.
