Thread regarding Nestle layoffs

Still coming to terms with this

Twelve years. I know I should be satisfied with the package we are getting, but even that is bitter sweet with all the limitations and stipulations attached to it. I'm happy for people who are okay with this, but that doesn't mean we have to all feel that way.

And to say I'm not happy with Nestle right now would be an understatement.

My husband is being laid off also, but he was just about ready to retire, so it works out okay for us. But we've been through this before....with Keebler, Kelloggs, Georgia-Pacific, etc., etc. Working for food companies is very risky.....they get bought, sold, etc., all the time, and the sales workers are the first to go. I tried to get my husband to stop working with that type of business, but it was all he knew. . I hope the package is as good as they are saying for everyone.

I feel for all of You Nestle workers. I was a Keebler Elf, for one third of my life.(17years) One, short conference call, and the closure of 39 DC's, in North America, and that's it? I was totally devastated, but, it made me fully realize that life is short, and nothing lasts forever. It's f---ed up having to start all over again from the bottom, and have to deal seniority issues. I know. Be strong and don't hold a grudge. Give it your all till the end. Things can only get better. Think positive, or at least try to. There are better things headed your way. Take care, God Bless, and good luck!!
