In department meeting today we were told our layoffs would be cascaded week of April 8th and compete by end of April.
Does anybody know if this refers just to one department or if it applies to all those that will be affected by layoffs? Does it mean that layoffs are done for March?
That comment must only be for one of the department because across the rest of the organization, things are definitely not going to get settled by April. right now it sounds like mostly LL4-LL5 will get resolved by April. The LL6 and GSR cuts are supposedly are going to get dragged in the next wave until the end of June.
Most but not all male, but that is also the LL5 demographic. One LL5 had signaled in January that they knew they would be released. He indicated he was given the opportunity to retire last week, get his supplemental in pension until 62 and 9 months salary + benefits. He was offered leave now or leave in two weeks. Hopefully us grunts will be treated equally well.
Several LL5 and above leadership layoffs completed. All laid off leaders known so far are male. They do not even get couple of days to pack up. Same day walk out. Wish there was a better way to walk people out of building.
Terrible leadership displayed here. Hackett should be ashamed of himself. This is not how a good leader leads. In fact, I would argue that this is the exact opposite of how a good leader leads.
We were also told that GSR level cuts wouldn’t be completely finished until 2023.
It depends on whether the reorganization is done for your department. They are doing reorgs first and then layoffs of LL5-GSR. Some departments won't be done until the end of June. Most will be done by end of May
Every department is different. They are setting up there part of the business. Some will be done sooner then later. We were told everything will be done by end of May.
