What groups in on prem got hit? Development? Support?
Target is less than 9000 people worlwide. 3 different rounds, with different targets.
First round will close in may, US as usual got hit first, next in turn is LAD and APAC, then EMEA. Slightly more than 2000 people affected overall.
Second round will close in october/november, around 6000 people.
Last round will close in december, small number of people but many M5/6/7
A lot more than just DJ's org got hit. On-prem took yet another beating. Lots of QA people tossed out the door. I guess our customers and cloud users will do our testing for us.
Long term target should be 70%, only keep core DB teams is enough
That's around 9-10% of DJ's Org. Could this be the reference to the 10% figure floating around?
According to this check of Aria, there were 508 in DJ's org alone:
DJ org lost 508 ppl accordingly to Area since 3/21

the threads that talk about 10% are talking longer term, not this latest round.
Another threads on this board say it's around 10 percent which is around 15000 people?
OP Where you getting this info?
I am hearing 500 and we are done? I am hearing this next to the watercooler in Redwood City, where are you getting your info?
no, that's wrong. it was around 500-700 worldwide. And that is it for layoffs for this year. Maybe some removed for poor performance down the road but that's it.
see, how fun it is to just make sh--e up?
Guess what, Oracle. Your most loyal and wealthy customers ... HATE YOUR GUTS.
I made a joke at work the other day about needing an "Oracle enterprise license" for a project I am starting. It hit home. No one wants you anywhere near our businesses or our pocketbooks. This is why corps are running to the Cloud while your core business dies.
Reap the whirlwind, you earned it.
Any idea of dates for the next two rounds?
