Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

A sad state of affairs

Has he ever fixed anything in his career? Does he have a good track record in terms of turning a business around? Has he rolled out any original ideas at Lowe’s yet (excluding everything he stole from Depot)..

That’s a No to all 3 of those. In other words, Lowe’s is screwed.

Staffing is the worst it has ever been in both quality and quantity. Morale doesn’t exist. Store conditions are the worst I’ve seen. Customers are not happy with their shopping experience. The joke of a “likelihood to recommend” system is being cheated by employees entering “10’s” from receipts that were left behind. We have more pro product and less for the homeowners which is an absolutely failure since the pros are at Depot and the homeowners are getting fed up with us.

New zebra phones are a bandaid on a completely broken IT system that would cost a billion to upgrade company wide. New hire training is being conducted by computers and stressed out ASA’s who are doing HR duties but getting cashier pay.

Shrink is no longer being kept track of because it’s going to go through the roof with all the operational breakdowns within the store. New scheduling makes retail “work life balance” worse than it has ever been.

Shelves are filled with junk! It’s great you acquired the craftsman name (paid a fortune for it), but have you seen the garbage they are sending to our stores? Its project source quality at best.

Marvin, step down and let me at the helm of this sinking ship. I’ll stop worrying about Wall Street and turn this company around.

It's really pathetic that as a company we can not come up with our own ways to improve. Instead we have to steal ideas from Home Depot. We will never be our own entity if all we do is copy cat. I have been with the company over 20 years and I have NEVER in my life seen this type of pathetic leadership in corporate staff! They use degrading and threatening techniques that only end up stressing out our Store Managers in which stresses out the rest of the staff and it makes for a very unpleasant and low morale working environment. How Low van you go Lowe's????
