Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Who is holding GM leadership legally accountable for what they did to Poletown?

If I did damage to a community and removed 1,500 homes for $.010 on the dollar + churches...most likely i would go to jail for a very long time. It could fall under community and cultural social genocide.

Why isn't anyone paying attention?

Five plants weren't idled, five communities were financially destroyed. Remember our paychecks went into those communities for schools, libraries, fire departments, churches, and medical.

Now our American jobs are in China - Mexico - and Brazil :( ...

@YhUxoZJ: "removed 1,500 homes for $.010 on the dollar "

That's not true. Folks received more for their homes then they would ever hope to see on the market.

That doesn't help the folks who just didn't want to move but if you want to see what the area would look like without the GM Plant just look south across I-94.

Key word accountability , The focus isn't on automotive manufacturing and community , it's focus is on diversity ! Which is not even an issue , at least where I worked in GM , it a diversion to shift your focus away from the fact this company along with many others are fleecing the country , The people of D-ham poletown are beat down and tired , they have thrown their hands up ! The people of the state need to ban together against the our local government in a large body to ask serious questions , our current government in Michigan isn't going to do a thing about it period. GM was made to throw out a bone because our president is on the bully pull pit and putting on pressure , notice after the bone was thrown out by marry to lake Orion things have gotten a little quiet?
