Paycheck after being walked out

Hello, if an engineer accepts an offer to work for a competitor and shares the news they are walked out. Is that engineer entitled to the following 2 weeks pay even though they were walked out?

My two weeks notice would be in the form of, “Hey... anyone know where he is? Havent notced him around in over two weeks.”

Both 2 weeks notice from you and severance from the company are courtesies, not the law.

Either side can end employment with no notice without owing the other side a nickel.

So yes, they can walk you out when you resign and owe you nothing.

yes if you gave 2 weeks notice and they choose for you to leave that day, they still owe you the 2 weeks pay

If you gave 2 weeks notice, then yes.

Otherwise, you would have been involuntarily separated and entitled to severance, I would think
