Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Steve Tamares made 56 million dollars between 2015-3017. 56 million. Yet they are laying off the poor people who make under 50k a year and eliminating positions putting a ton of pressure on the people left. I would love to know the reasoning behind this.

ST it’s time for you to go and save the company a ton of money paying you to do nothing to make this company a great company again. Hostile takeover would be right at this time.

Yes, we’re told to stand firm with the policies while being nice to the customer, but I’ve seen firsthand what happens when managers get a complaint for sticking to policy. The Company does not have your back when you get a complaint, it will always come back as “What could you have done differently?”

Get a brand. We have SALT but that is only cheap c-ap. Bring in something that the customer can only get at BBB. New ideas for this ever changing retail market.

So clearly most of you are not in store... we have had SO many changes in store the last 2 years, the return policy included, shipping fees, and we are told we are NOT to bend over when it comes to these policy’s. It’s about being nice with the policy but not selling the farm like we used to.

I think you meant between 2015-17. Still needs to go. Replace the board of directors and get a new team with ideas for this century not how they did things 30 years ago. Keep the founders on in a different role. Change needs to happen at the top in corporate not in the stores.
