Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

PTC

How many have stayed with the company? In my region less than a third. Those that stayed all are the newest and youngest.

Our PTC stayed.. took a completely unrelated postion very weird to see her on the floor stocking. Bless her heart she still helps people navigate/get things done that is no LONGER part of her job. The club is lucky to still have her.

Going to miss having a PTC. She is always the one we go to when we need questions answered. Caring and understanding when we need to vent helps us get things out and gives us a positive way of looking at things. Managers don't want to be bothered by our questions and obviously don't care. Who will we have to go to now. 1800walmart? Joke.

PTC is the glue that holds our clubs together. Sad sad sad.

I miss our PTC at club 4947 in Zanesville, Ohio. She was our go to for all of our needs. If you needed help with your schedule or for the older folks that didn't have computers she would write them out. For help with the time clock, missed punches, benefits questions or just a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, she was there for us. She was the heart of the heart. We have been through 3 managers and several fill in managers last year, so our club has been in turmoil for awhile, attitudes and moral is very low.

@1hsb no I’m not joking. As a full time 20 year associate I can earn 304 total hours of time off which is the same as the last few years. They haven’t taken anything away. Sure they made it hard for people to use their old earned sick time but it’s still there. I’m from a small town. No where else am I gonna find 7 and a half weeks of paid time off

We lost our ptc today after 35 years of service. It’s a Damn shame that all the work is being pushed to management and the leads in the building. Bull sh-- if it’s all digital what a f---ing joke.

I was a PTC for 18 years and left today. It was a sad day leaving my work family but walking out the door for the last time as an associate felt so good!

@pey are you joking? I'm thinking it's not truthful comment. We all know PTO is slowly being taken away. But ok...

After 16 years, it was a tough decision but I’m gone. Today was so sad because I feel like I’m leaving my family, but it’s on to bigger and better things. I wish the best of luck for all of the ptcs whether they decided to leave or stay.
