Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Any word of New Layoffs?

Is it possible that nothing is at least rumored. Kind of strange given that they weren’t shy to announce that layoffs could continue throughout the year. At my office there hasn't been much talk in the las couple of weeks, everything is back to business as usual. Is it generally like that, or has may office just been isolated from the talk and rumors?

“The remaining layoff cloud is there to promote this new culture to weed out the weak and leave the strong behind.”

The strongest employees have no problem finding work outside the company so are the most likely to leave. It’s the worst employees that hang around for lack of options. The best way to do layoffs is to make them quick and targeted, Devon is doing the opposite.

I believe with over a total hundred of experience being gone Devon is not one to put your money on.

The New Devon has created a culture to promote natural attrition. The remaining layoff cloud is there to promote this new culture to weed out the weak and leave the strong behind.

New Devon would like to refer to the Layoffs from here on out as a personnel optimization strategy to have a top-quartile G&A cost structure in the gold standard of the vision 2020.
