It's sad how many talented people were let go. Do you guys think New York really will be closed? The Nova Scotia people are really not a smart group of people.

The move to the new building is still going forward, the target window is the last two weeks of June.

Can anyone from inside tell me what is projected for the Jacksonville location in 2019? Looks like they are still planning to open at the new building this year according to the published news memo that came out of Spokane.

I was laid off as part of the layoffs on March 29, 2019. I hadn't even been with the company for a year before they threw me under a bus. That goes double for the severance package. For those of you looking for info on the severance package, here is the info that was provided in a FAQ packet that was provided as part of the layoff:

"Employees impacted by the restructuring will receive two weeks of base wages for each year of service with a minimum of 2 weeks, maximum of 26 weeks. To receive severance, an employee must return all company owned property and sign/return their severance agreement."

In other words, since I was employed with web.com for less than a year, I only get a single pay period's worth of pay as part of my severance package. Last time I was unemployed, it took me almost half a year to find another job, and it was one of the most stressful periods of my life. Just thinking about potentially going through that again is giving me panic attacks. Thanks, web for enterprise. Thanks for completely screwing me over.

Canadians were effected too in this layoff not just Americans.

Leaving for Canada because they actually get a kickback for hiring people up there. Dumbest bunch of people I've ever had to deal with. But why would Siris care? They probably plan on letting all of the clients cancel, and might as well let the Canadians handle everything because it's cheap. The biggest mistake was whomever was responsible for talking David Brown into buying Yodle. I think that was Vikas & Tom. Yodle was the biggest mistake Web made, followed by Aqusio. They got too greedy and focused on quality over quantity. I'm sorry for those that lost their jobs. There are plenty of companies that are hiring. Take being laid off as a blessing and a mental health break for a few weeks.

So straight from my colleague from Operations--severance is 2 weeks for each year of service. Employees will be paid an average of their commission for the next 60 days. They don't have to come to work to receive it. Also, only 90 employees were laid off today. Check out the official statement.

In the Jacksonville office, I saw Operations affected heavily (Copy here). QC and SEO lost around half their teams (15-25 people or so?) and Copy laid off our remote guy in New York. I expect they will close the NY location altogether. My own manager said there are plans to move many phone support roles to Canada.

Anyone have any info about a) how people were selected, and b) what severance looks like? It seems to be largely numbers-based, so if you're not fast, plan to get fast. :(

Do you know what departments? I think a lot of people are just hanging around until they get laid off for severance packages to be honest. There are plenty of jobs out there with other companies.
