Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Freight Dump

Is any other stores full of freight. I mean all of top stock full putting grass seed and bird food in millwork. Putting Roundup and other chemicals in top stock in home fashions Receiving always full because the unload team and the freight crew are all under staffed

Our store has had more safety incidents so far this year than it had in all of 2018. Good to Great huh Marvin?

If you adopt a Depot strategy, the injuries and shrink also come with it.

4 man night stock crews, freight to be put up by the openers every day, stock dumped on desks (usually in the wrong department), the list goes on and on. Change just for changes sake with no real forethought to timing and proper execution. The good to great playbook! Injuries will start to pile up and safety numbers be darned!

More "Pro" freight, OSLG looks just like any of the last 15 springs to me.

It is a good way to maximize shrink. Cut store LP, have delegating department supervisors instead of hands on DMs, cut HR, and increase seasonal head counts. Now lets flood stores with more inventory than they can handle.

They must’ve forgotten about my store then, last Corp walk the paint guys were spacing out the cans to make the shelves look full.

I'm having customers ask if Lowe's was bought by Odd Lots.

more freight than the store has ever seen before - check

freight crew understaffed and no one being interviewed - check

just being told to create space or get creative - check

no actual plan of execution coming down from corporate...just flood the store with excess product and then try to lure the pros in with events to see all the product.

That’s all part of the copy Home Depot strategy. Cluttered stores with excessive product and nowhere to safely put it.

One of the new changes....60% more product in the stores for the 100 days. All the stores in our Market are in the same boat you are. Check out the "playbook" for spring, Ride on mowers in the Fire zone, Pallets of concrete in front of the bays down the aisle....etc. I asked if anyone is worried about the top stock and I was told there is room, we are not down-stocking correctly. That statement is most likely the "canned" answer everyone will get if they ask. I am concerned there will be a serious injury if not a fatality in a store this year.
