More layoffs coming to PB car side also.
This is going to happen everywhere on the railroad. Just because people were laid off doesn’t mean they need new workers to replace those who were supposed to stay but quit or retired. Or maybe they misjudged the number they needed.
Also, the new workers are making much less income and they’re getting less benefits. This has been their plan all along.
They don’t know what they’re doing
I can imagine there are certain jobs on the railroad that will be where one goes to end ones career with this new(old) way of building trains. You make a nearly impossible situation work as they say or go home or bid off if you can.
