Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Sharing is Caring

I've told everyone I can at my XBS core about this website. Are you telling others? This is the only way I've been able to get semi-decent information, since no one at the top is talking at my core. I'd love to know what kind of representation we have here; ie: which cores are checking in and reading these.

Anyone brave enough to post their core?

Denitech ASI and Imagetek began merging February 1 and it has been s*itshow ever since. Not enough people to do the jobs that are left.

Carr- sad work environment to say the least. Our core has gone through many layoffs in the last 3 years and the people who made it through are overworked and truly dedicated to the sales staff and to our customers. We will lose many great employees and clients due to these selfish corporate people. They are ruining the lives and careers of many. All is being kept quiet to the sales staff while they are directly affected by this change. Separate meetings for sales and admin to minimize panic. GET OUT ASAP

MOS here. The president and vps were not walked out. Don't know why someone would post that.

Some of that content might have violated this: https://www.thelayoff.com/rules.php

Who knows though.

I believe this forum (TheLayoff) has rules about naming names, though I don't think a name was given. I know an entire thread and some comments about people being "snowflakes" was deleted, too. Since people can't delete their own comments, it has to be a mod here who's doing the deleting.

It's too bad, too. Nothing here is really out of hand. I mean the snowflake comments, while dumb, are hardly worth deleting.

Who is censoring this thread? There was a comment about the head of HR at Dahill that was very accurate and has needed to be said for a long time. That comment has since disappeared. Why? The truth needs to come out. Who ever posted that please post it again. Thanks.

I'd also like to thank everyone for posting! We're getting NOTHING in terms of information from our core leaders. Our top person's attitude is that everything is fine. Been very apathetic and uncaring. It stinks to watch. We're all on pins and needles waiting for the next change to happen. Sadly, I think some of our HCL people think there's going to be more time than there is. I hate watching this happen to my work family. The idea of going somewhere else is breaking my heart. I've been with my core for more than 15 years.

Thank you to everyone posting, this is the only place to learn the real truth as at my core management acts like sunshine is coming out of their a--, wait until sales has to deal with HCL, then they'll really appreciate all the c-ap we had to do for them which won't happen anymore, they'll get frustrated so fast they'll be leaving too! When I leave I'll make sure to send Johnny V a nice thank you!

Xerox mandated 15:1 field techs per field service manager.

Sales compensation will not be changed in 2019 but will change in 2020.

Overlapping VP's appear to be the next on the chopping block.

About 8-10 more cores need to merge into a larger core to arrive at the final 20 regional cores.

I have heard both Sales and Service Techs will remain. But with Sales I heard changes will be made with the salary and commission. With service Techs I heard that there will be less field service supervisors per are with more techs reporting to them. Not sure how accurate that information is but from what I was told... they are still very much needed!

Is there a time line for when all changes will be completed ? Does anyone know what will happen to sales? Any expected changes? Or should I just be looking for another job ?!?!

STW NJ here... 4 sales branches, 2 sales directors, and 4 admin (as of tomorrow) are gone. More to follow. The atmosphere is of doom and gloom but we're being smart by prepping our resumes and starting the search.

I’m not in the HQ in Grand Rapids. Just what I heard as it spreads around MOS branches. Waiting on more information. I think the merger with RK Dixon has a lot to do with it.

DFW market has been a complete disaster since end of December. They combined Denitech, Imagetek and ASI, fired the top performing President and other great President and chose the third best choice to report to Dahill. They closed 5 offices in the market in February. They moved billing to Dahill and now outsourced to HCL.

Earlier this week they fired the newly appointed DFW marketplace President and HR.

Now they are in secret meetings to get ready to announce more changes and cuts.

This is all not right! We all need to move on down the road! Life is too short!!

CARR - 25 rebadged. 3 people quit. More planning on leaving soon. They killed a company that was started over 80 years ago in a matter of weeks. Very sad.

Senior leadership won’t talk to their people because they don’t want people running for the doors. Their concerned about their own a**es and no one else’s. Spread the word on this site.

Congratulations!! So happy for you! Cheers!!! To new beginnings. A core is a sister company within GISX/Global aka XBS. A lot of companies under the Xerox umbrella.

Good luck to you!

Saxon, whoever created this post... thank you. I’ve posted on here before but I have to admit I feels good to represent my core and my coworkers that I love so much.

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you all that we are all ONE BIG FAMILY! Yes obviously Saxon is my family because we are very close as we have spent many years working together. But we have also spent many years working with “our sisters”. From department to department ie... contract billing, purchasing, accounting, customer service, supplies, service, parts etc... we have formed many relationships even friendships over the years.

We are all in the same boat in one way or another. It’s nice to know we all have a place to vent or get information and support from.

I know I can speak for all of my coworkers at Saxon and say that we feel heartbroken for all of our sister cores as we are heartbroken within our core!

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers as we try to get through this difficult time!

With love, your Saxon friend!
