How is it a mega-deal to buy APC takes two weeks and a deal to cast off the UK sc-aps and leftovers takes 6-12 months? Just tear it off like a Bandaid already.

Media speculation in the press today is that both Ineos (who own the forties pipeline system and also the huge Grange mouth Refinery near Edinburgh) and the Delek Group (Israeli company) are the front runners for UK assets.

That goes without saying, 4vlx. Why else would investors buy anyone else’s assets? Certainly not to lose money.

You are right, -1smg. They also have a track record of taking run down Chevron assets and making them vastly profitable.

Yes and quite a few smaller companies have bid. Winner should be announced soon. Deal won’t close until mid year or later. God bless all our blimey friends who hitched their wagon to the colony. Now they can work for a more familiar local company. Typically smaller companies that buy Chevron assets are vastly better places to work so it will be a win-win.
