Thread regarding CommScope Holding Co. Inc. layoffs

What is commscope severance like?

Arris had a good one, 1 week year 1-5, 2 weeks, years 5-10, 3 weeks over 10-- up to a year. Can't even find what the benefits are at commscope..ie PTO so Arris set-top folks probably won't get a good severance.

2020 layoffs 1 year for 15 year service plus ~25% of non-vested RSUs. That is pretty good as the only one I've heard of better was where you got to keep 100% on non-vested RSUs.

Don’t rely on Trump for anything but promoting ‘Trump Inc’ at America’s expense.

I've been trying to research this. Seems the only mention I could find suggested it was generous, but there were no details. The limited information was insufficient to make a comparison or estimate. I'm not at risk, this year... But come 2020 I'm guessing there will be a round of layoffs, but even then I don't expect to be on the cut list. Even so, things can change. Market indicators seem to say a recession will occur within 12 months, so unless Trump can head that off, it seems like it is not a good time to start a new job right now... Jumping now might be a bad move if the new employer is impacted by recession.
