Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Mark your Calendars

April 26th the top brass will be paying a visit and holding an executive luncheon for West Colton. All other yards beware, if your not producing like WC then pack your bags. Word around the executive watercooler is that the West Colton yard will be the new standard. Top men have been overheard saying WC will be the new poster child for U.P. Come celebrate PSR 2020 at West Colton.

Oh how cute…you think a contractor would actually hire your lazy behind. Have you ever watched them work? May not be the safest people but they get stuff done. Must be nice to live in a make believe world. Now go make nice with mommy and daddy before they rent your room out.

Would never do this job working for a scab company..... not only is the pay and working environment worse but you don't even earn service months....

Or it could be like Roper.... Givens told us at our million man hour injury free celebration we are all in a great position and with Utah becoming an inland port hub we all have nothing to worry about. Just to cut 50 out of 77 a couple months later.

Heard it from a reliable source all western region operations to be shut down. All work going to contractors. Don’t believe me look at what’s happening in Oregon, Washington,

Idaho, Utah, and Northern California. You west Colton homies are next on chopping block. California to costly for railroads to operate at a profit. Border brothers will work on the cheap. Bye bye west Colton.

We were told the same exact thing at Pine Bluff. Of course UP closed the shop down. Not trying to sound negative but that was Pine Bluff's experience.

Shortcuts will end up k&lling someone and that will be the cost for cowarding down to management. I hope the WC folks are willing to accept the high price. Anytime you're making deals with the Deavil you're skating on thin ice.
