Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

SWO just informed the Plant Engineering department that there will be “merit increases” and the way it is structures keeps a lot of good people from getting a raise. Even after years of no raises.

Cafe West at SWSD is no longer staffed and operating?

SWSD ENT. : 3 hourly assistant sups and unknown # wardrobe/costume ambassadors (no senior leaders from SD Ent were laid off)

People have been posting about San Antonio layoffs... read through the posts before you start accusing people of stuff

My daughter-in-law was just laid off at SW San Antonio and there is nothing about the lay-offs there. Does SW San Antonio even exist for the rest of SeaWorld? They are people too and there are employees being laid off there too. She was an animal trainer with the Belugas and dolphins. Shocking how you guys don't even consider the people in San Antonio as part of SeaWorld. SeaWorld does not only exist on the east and west coasts people!!! And there are people hurting in Texas too because of SeaWorld's bad business decisions. She worked so hard to get on as a full time employee and she even had a BS degree so that doesn't even count. Just wanting to get rid of hard-working dedicated employees so they don't have to pay them what they are worth.

It was 10 in aviculture for Orlando. Their entire bird barn is gone.

if commisary is gone at texas and san diego, who is going to feed the animals in the park? and didnt they just feature it in that animal event and now its gone?

SWSD looks like they lost 4 sups in culinary and 1 sup in culinary WH on top of the 6 commissary and the one other culinary office ambassador total of 11 in culinary

SWSD food commissary was 6 total and one more ambassador from the culinary office not sure of her title.

SWO lost a total of 7 in Entertainment. 1 Recording Studio Engineer, 2 Assistant Supervisors, 3 Stage Managers and 1 Art Director.

I heard SWF lost all 5 in AAT.. and double digits in aviculture.. I didnt hear of anyone in aquatica or discovery though.. maybe they are not done?

SWSD Park Ops Shows lost all three supervisors and at least full time AS that I know of so far.

SWSD we lost 3 assistant supervisors in park ops for rides, 1 for park quality, and 1 supervisor. Not sure about other areas

And at least 1 person in wardrobe.
