Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Does SW San Antonio even exist for the rest of SeaWorld?

My daughter-in-law was just laid off at SW San Antonio and there is nothing about the lay-offs there. Does SW San Antonio even exist for the rest of SeaWorld? They are people too and there are employees being laid off there too. She was an animal trainer with the Belugas and dolphins. Shocking how you guys don't even consider the people in San Antonio as part of SeaWorld. SeaWorld does not only exist on the east and west coasts people!!! And there are people hurting in Texas too because of SeaWorld's bad business decisions. She worked so hard to get on as a full time employee and she even had a BS degree so that doesn't even count. Just wanting to get rid of hard-working dedicated employees so they don't have to pay them what they are worth.

Excellent point @Yxt4QxS-1kbn. Couldn't agree more

Employees were told restructuring occurred but no additional details were provided. No one really knows the scope of how many were affected and from which locations. The targeted restructures eliminating smaller numbers of people appear to be an attempt to keep it from the media. So this makes 2 so far, plus John Reilly and the corp HR person that both quit suddenly?

swt was one of the first referenced, but no one from there had shared anything, and most of the layoffs this round happened elsewhere, so less details were shared. We're all just here to figure out who from our departments will be there on monday and if we have jobs still. sorry about your daughter in law, but we're all in shock and grieving and this isn't the place to post if you don't work here. corporate doesn't really care about any of us, but they're the ones you should be talking to. We didn't lay your daughter in law off, but we're sorry for her loss.

If you look at the compilation post SWT was referenced but no one from SWT had posted details to be included. This isn’t shared by SW, but by the employees/victims who have opened up and told the rest of us what they saw and heard. In other words, everyone here is hurting and trying to get the biggest picture they can.

What is your point? There’s lots of posts about San Antonio layoffs. Did you bother to read any other posts? Or are you just making these sweeping generalizations for fun?
