Stocks at an all time LOW! How's your store doing?

B&N stocks are now even lower than when the stores first opened. The corporate office is demanding management go after sales more than ever. This could be the last Spring for the company.

A new Nook is coming?

Great idea . That Will save the company. Gee, I hope the thousands of millions of people they expect to buy it, don’t expect a bag, to put it in.

"The last spring??!! Haven't you heard the news of the new ereader nook coming out?"

Indeed, the weird, dysfunctional relationship with BN and the Nook continues to stump any sort of rationality. While ebooks have flatlined, independent booksellers continue to grow, and regular, old fashioned books continue to sell. But BN, with a virtual monopoly in the bookselling game in most markets, continues to die.

And what does BN do? Instead of, you know, selling books, they clutter their stores with shrink-magnets like Legos and expensive tech gifts. Shrink goes up, sales go down, a new Nook launches, and books, which BN claims they sell, drops--this at a time when people want to buy, you know, books.

I've stuck up for Len and the others in the past; I really can't keep doing this, because the writing's on the wall. Instead of spending millions on an e-reader that few are likely to buy, the company should be spending this money on paying booksellers, who, you know, sell books.

The last spring??!! Haven't you heard the news of the new ereader nook coming out? Talk about beating a dead horse. If the nook was a car, what car would it Be? A Yugo? A dodge Aries K car, those at least worked?

"Sooooo many customer complaints lately. Bad service on line and in stores." Friend of mine went into a NYC store recently. He said "20 customers, 10 registers, one cashier". And remember, no bags either. That's great customer service!

Our SM , just scratched several shifts for this coming week. Can’t sell with no booksellers on the floor. They cut their own throats over a year ago. It’s too late now !

Sooooo many customer complaints lately. Bad service on line and in stores.

They’ve lost A LOT of business, that they’ll never get back.

Now corporate is desperate for sakes for stocks to go up so when it all comes crashing down, they’ll escape rich. SCREW THEM!
