That is the backfires of open R&D facilities in China. Oracle as well as other high tech companies wanted to take cheap labor in China and China communist government sent their top engineers to work for American companies then learn the technologies. After learning, they go back to work for Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Huawei, JD, Tencent, etc...or start up new companies to compete with Americans. Guess who paid for the price, American middle class not the top 1% since the top 1% has made a lot of money from cheap labor in China.

I dont think anyone in the west would use a Huawei cloud database. There is a huge debacle about Huawei network equipments so that will be tough market for Huawei to get into.

My bet is that they are going to sell one or another version of PostgreSQL or another open source (with cloud friendly license) on the cloud with lifecycle automation and so on.

I am now very interested to see more of this.
