Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Any word on new layoffs?

Haven’t heard anything in some time so I was wondering is anything “cooking” that I’m not aware of? Has anyone heard anything about more layoffs in the coming days and about where they might take place? If anyone has any concrete info, please post.

If someone in India can do your job or even if they can’t it doesn’t matter. Be afraid. Anyone can be laid off, experience and dedication really do not matter. Look at the tools teams that were placed under PSE and then immediately laid off and managers lost their jobs simply because they were in the U.S. and Honeywell was not staffing managers for those positions in the U.S. Good people were let go. Be afraid. I’m happy now not dealing with the Honeywell bull. There are better company’s and better places to work. If you are a U.S. employee be afraid. The drive is to reduce headcount in the U.S and replace with people in India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Brno.

There will always be at least a slow bleed off via layoffs. As long as the plan is to get workers to compete against each other to adequately donate free overtime, there will need to be sacrificial lambs to serve as a warning. We can also fold in layoffs among the older, higher paid people as needed to make the numbers. The important thing to remember is that 110% isn't good enough if your workmates are giving 120%

If you can, just leave. Close to retirement? Hang on. I retired after 37 years at 59, best move I ever made. Now I applied for SS and will start in July. 2200 in SS, 2800 in Honeyhell retirement and a healthy 401 just sitting there. DO IT! have peace and joy.

Site closures for sure. Layoffs no.

High regrettable attrition is driving all the iManage and other stupid campaigns going around. Trying to teach managers to be more engaged with employees so they can coerce mandatory unpaid overtime pawning it off as professional duty. ( don’t you know that our ALT members all work 12 hr shifts 7 days a week after walking to work in the snow?). Make sure you can recite your burning platform because fear motivates.
