Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

COMPANY INFORMATION

I dont know how others feel about this but i find out more information on this site that any manager at our store tells us . I guess I really dont understand why everything is so secretive most of the time , and if things are on the wire and you are actually an associate that works all of there shift who has time to go on the wire and search for everything new . arent the managers suppose to be our leaders and let us know whats going on . I find out way more on here than any manager tells you . comments ?

The PTO update is somewhat questionable in regards to how it was implemented.

But I am not surprised by the change. It goes back to the old system and tries to band-aid fix one of the many attendance issues new and returning associates seem to have during their employment with the company. The change rewards those who build up their longevity. New hires in particular part timers who are just looking for a check will have to make decisions as to what is important earning that paycheck or looking for a new job.

Remember knowledge is power. Most on this site have a distrust of managers and leads so why would they listen to them or take anything told to them by theses associates at face value?

The lack of communication at club level is horrible! I know you have mo--ns that will say the info is on the wire and I'm more then able to find it. But most information should be addressed verbally, the PTO BS should've been addressed in a meeting, i found out by putting in PTO time to see that changes have been made. To find out i went from 7.6 hours for an hour of PTO time to now having to work 10.6 hours for an hour of PTO time. This is something the company tried to hide.
