Is there any pros to this acquisition for current Oxy employees bedsides maybe different exposure? I can think of quite a few cons. Namely, won’t all this debt negatively affect our raises/bonuses? Will Oxy employees have to compete with anadarko employees for their jobs?

Are Oxy bonuses good? What is the average multiplier? E.g. salary x bonus target x bonus multiplier. And to add to the previous comment, APC has a very good change of control policy. ~2x salary plus everything vested.
There could be quite a few pros if you get to stay, and hell maybe even a few if you don't. Assuming APC negotiated well for its employees you can probably count on a sizable amount of severance if you get cut. I'm still a noob in this industry but from what I've gathered, you should all be singing your lucky praises that Chevron doesn't get to decide your fate.
