Thread regarding Bristol-Myers Squibb layoffs

BMS Layoffs

I was let go in Tampa in January - Moved on, things are good. Took me about three months to find a good and comparable position. I liked my work at BMS but it was time for me to move on anyhow, so the timing worked - the severance was good and we were offered career transition services, that was a nice perk as it helped me organized a few things on my side. Overall career transition services will not help everyone as some people have things lined up already and they provide only limited support.

I heard that BMS is planning layoffs again - they may have started already - I haven't see messages on this board or elsewhere but that's the rumor right now. Take it with a grain of salt. I want to reassure all people who might be affected that the market is good now and they have a good chance of finding a comparable quality job that will fit. Good luck and God bless!

How BMS let people go? Do you get a notice from HR or director?
