Thread regarding Dean Foods Co. layoffs

Chicago area layoffs this week; more to come.

New round of layoffs came this week in the Chicago/Milwaukee areas. At least 10 others besides myself. Not completely unexpected, but was hoping to hang on until 2020. Big announcement coming today 5/17 internally. Probably more “restructuring” efforts; More layoffs, closures & possible sale. Pathetic how far this company has been driven into the ground.

Hey.....look on the bright side. WalMart or McDonalds will always be hiring. I’m sure those wages will be about to pay your mortgage and support your kids. HA.

People should realize that those who run their mouth, backstab, brown nose and poor performance. Are the first ones to get cut. Those are FACTS!! About time Deans is cleaning house imo.

When you get fired for poor results and performance. That is not called a “lay-off”. Just so everyone knows.

Did not take management long to catch and get rid of the sales “rats” complaining and whining about the extra workload in Wisconsin. Good riddance!!!

Laid off after 15 years. This is, by far, the worst run company in America. Dean Foods raided the successful small dairies across America, bought them, then proceeded to run them into the ground. All the “changes” over the past few years sure have helped the company....as evidenced by the $1.60 share price. id--ts.

Good luck. It's all about the shareholders and the share price. At this low level management is getting Dean ready to be sold.....Can you say "Oh Canada"?

So sad. I was laid off a year ago and would have never left otherwise. I hope you receive a severance and I wish you the best life pose Deans. It’s there I promise you. I have never been better but it pains me to continue to see the fall of the company I would have probably retired with. I wish nothing but the best for my friends still hanging on.

There were layoffs all over the company today. So sad. It is a disgrace what this so called CEO has done to drive it into the ground. I am sure there are more layoffs and closures to come. We are losing customers left and right due to the delivery fees they are charging.

First off- this is NOT Dean Foods. I laugh as they like to lay claim to a rich history of a company that took pride in their products.

This is a bunch of raiders that know nothing about dairy. And they want nothing to do with anyone that does! They are just corporate speak puppets that started as Reddy Ice and I wish they would have stayed there. Yale lawyers with a taste for large sums of money flowing into their accounts, not milk.

No one will buy Dean Foods. The facilities are too far gone due to the corrupt management. Companies will just wait for Ralph Scuzzafava to declare bankruptcy. He already set the table for golden parachutes this year as bonuses for him and his cronies are not tied to performance. If it was, they would owe US money!

This is his forte. He did the same thing in N.C. with the furniture industry. This is what he does. He fails and gets rewarded handsomely for it.

It is a crime that a a major food group, Dairy, is allowed to be taken over by corporate raiders like Yale grad Gregg Engles and his best Yale buddy Gregg Tanner and those of that ilk, and exploit for all it's worth for a handful of Yale boys to get rich. Meanwhile folks lose their careers in droves.

After all, it is one of the 4 major food groups, not an iPhone.

It should be a crime for such things to be publicly owned. It is no secret that corners are cut every 90 days to appease the "shareholder". E.g the jerks running the company. Meanwhile thousands of folks are purged out to the street as the facilities fall apart and the product suffers.

The people "running" what USED to be Dean Foods are not inept, they are corrupt. They are criminals and should be prosecuted for the risks that they put to the public in order to fatten their personal bank accounts.
