I worked a full shift today and asked every single member I came into contact with would they buy pre-pack meat and the answer was simple absolutely not! They said the reason why they got a membership there is to be able to buy fresh meat. My second question was and the case that Sam's Club does go to pre-pack meat where would you consider shopping they said they would have cancelled the membership and shop at Costco where they can buy fresh meat. Sam's Club cannot figure out how to run a company is slowly going into the ground. And to all the big wheels of Sam's Club you continue to mistreat your Associates and try to hire cheap help and go third party. Also when block schedule starts watch how much the stock goes down due to sales being lost due to have an empty store because you want less Associates I'm sure the shareholders will be happy with that and see how long you big bosses Last once you cost a shareholders money. You should not go to block schedule and keep it the way it is. To all the Sam's Club Associates God bless all of you and I wish all of you the best!

How about the OP stop asking questions about hypothetical situations with our members. I hope you get fired for conducting your own crazy survey. Doesn't matter if they are both box meat. Members see the meat cutters cutting the meat through the window so in their eyes it looks more fresh. If we stop doing that the member could lose interest in our product.
Its called box beef and it is fresh meat, never frozen and not packed full of chemicals. And there more to then putting it threw a wrapper!! Go to Walmart and take a look at there pre packed meat, shelf life for weeks due to all the chemicals added to sustain shelf life. There's a huge difference in prepacked and what we produce in club.
Unless you are buying your meat from Bill's Meat Shop. Chances are you are buying a form of "prepackaged meat". Even Bill will buy prepackaged meat to cut costs but charge you twice as much to give you that feeling of buying fresh.
By the way Sam's and Costco do not sell fresh meat. Unless they are carving it off a carcass it is not fresh. Cutting open a box and sending product through a packaging system is not fresh by any stretch of the imagination.

The only reason the stock is so high is because they used the tax cut to buy it back. They had a good thing when the associates were treated well, invested in stock, and believed in the company. But they stopped taking care of the associates, which means they don't much care about the shareholders. How can they when the associates ARE shareholders?

I disagree with that. Shareholders like it when companies save money because the shareholders investment in the company will increase in value. If the company controls their expense, they’ll have more profit. More profit means more dividends, and a higher stock price. Less then a year ago WMT was at $84 a share. I’d be jumping in my jeans if was a kid of Sam Walton.
