So, just looking through the past few annual reports, branch traffic is on a downward spiral (will calls especially). The local store in my hometown now as 3 employees working at it (several years ago there were 9 full-time employees). At this rate it'll be closed within a couple of years. Is there any talk within Grainger about the lack of foot traffic in the branches and business being shifted to online/DC's? Are current branch employees feeling the heat/getting resumes prepared?

Especially when they can hire PT workers for a lot less.... like back in '17 when they put the wood to all of the Keepstock folks. They were ever so coy in hinting around what they were going to do and in most cases replaced tenured people with PT workers that could care less. Hopefully WWG sells to AMZ in the next few years. There is no benefit to using WWG anymore....
I agree, 5 years or less.
5 years it'll probably be all on-line with shipping exclusively out of DC's
