Is it just me, or does it seem like older employees are being hit more than any other group by these layoffs? Is it like this for all affected locations?

Of 155 RIFd (let go), 18% 60 yrs or older vs 10% of those retained 60+.
For 50-59, it was 22% let go vs 19% retained.
Here is what I heard but haven't directly confirmed:
-2 weeks of regular pay
-4 weeks of severance pay (unsure if different amount that usual salary?)
-1 week of pay per year of service
-all unused PTO gets paid out
How many weeks of pay per year of service was received in the package? In the past it was 2 weeks per year but at one point it started to get capped at 10 or 12 years. So if you were there longer you got jipped.
re: @ZD9jpIj-pjx I think the original post meant employees who had been with the company the longest, not literally the oldest aged employees
When I was laid off, I was given a list that contained the titles and ages of all other employees who had been let go. There were people on the list of varying ages.
Just curious guy who got the severance package... location? Job title?
I did get a sev
end me
I heard a rumor that the criteria for deciding who gets laid off has been low employee evaluation scores, attendance/HR issues, and pay scale - meaning that those who were paid more money were considered more likely to be laid off which would make sense in that more tenured employees would probably be paid more and therefore are more likely to be let go.
8-year person, if you see this, did you receive a severance package?
8 years here happened this morning
