Horribly Sick Management in Australia!

I was given a contract for 6 months to work in one of the esteemed customers in Australia. I was outperforming and meeting all the expectations. They made 2 resources do the work that a team of 5 would normally be doing. My contract was cut short to 3 months giving me a notice in month of December 2018 right before the holiday season started and the job market would completely dry out. There was no discussion before about this and the service delivery manager although always admiring my performance could do nothing to keep me on board as the decision was very single handed. The HR would not help mediate this before the management. All this shamefully done when personally my wife was 8 months pregnant and our baby was due. Ridiculously shameful and inhumane behaviour. They could have had their budget sorted before rolling out contracts, major failure and let down to the Tata Brand!!!

Always demand 2-3 time the market rates when working with Indian companies.

They exploit people who worked hard and gained experience and skill and copy their methods into low cost freshers.

Never undersell or work you balls out and ask for value of the contract and determine you rates as fraction of the contract value if you are critical to the project u should have quit in the first month and re negotiated. or else leave enough holes in the system u built so that they need u back.

TCS is the reason the Tech sector has become haven or exploitative employment practices.

Tata is not doing well and TCS is its only hope, so reduce rates to any level to keep the group afloat .

You're just a grain of salt. They have 1.6 Billion grains of salt that are waiting to grab your job. They just used you for your knowledge. Why do you think they hired you?
